The New York State Community Commission on Reparations Remedies (NYSCCRR) invites community members to attend a public hearing on reparations in New York on Saturday, April 25, from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM ET at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 120 South Street, Newburgh, NY 12550.
This hearing will focus on the theme of Education Inequality and is open to all community members who wish to attend or share personal testimony. The NYSCCRR examines how slavery, its lasting effects, and later racial discrimination have harmed people in New York, with the goal of recommending steps the state can take to repair those harms.
We encourage community members to come forward and share how these issues have affected their lives or their communities. Your voice matters in shaping the path toward reparations remedies in New York State.
