Celebrate culture, community, and tradition at Celebrations and Traditions of Kwanzaa: UJIMA – Collective Work & Responsibility on Saturday, December 27 from 1–3 p.m. at the Newburgh Free Library, 124 Grand Street, Newburgh, NY.

Hosted in partnership with the UJIMA Literacy Program, this lively celebration features a performance by students from the Newburgh Performing Arts Academy, along with food and kids’ activities honoring African American art, history, and storytelling.

The event also highlights the 2025 UJIMA Children’s Literacy Program, a monthly reading initiative supporting young readers and their families.
