1st Reformed Church of Walden 70 Scofield St, Walden is hosting our annual Chili Cook Off & Trunk-or-Treat event on Halloween, October 31st from 6 – 8 PM.
Free to the public, there will be a number of Chilis to sample and vote for Best, Hottest, & Most Original chili as well as voting for the Best Decorated Trunk where we will be handing out trick-or-treat candies to the children. We will be serving free hot beverages, apple cider doughnuts and more while supplies last!
Park your car with us and take the kids trick-or-treating through the Village! We have plenty of parking in our Scofield lot and along Church Street. Our restrooms available as well!
It’s soon Halloween and that means it’s time for our annual Trunk-or-Treat and Annual Chili Cookoff on the front porch of the 1st Reformed Church, 70 Scofield St. Walden on Halloween, Friday October 31st. The event will coincide with the Village Trick-or-Treat hours from 6 to 8 PM.
We’ll be handing out candies to all the Trick-or-Treater’s from trunks of decorated cars as well as offering free hot beverages, apple cider doughnuts and of course samples of all the chili free to anyone who stops by for as long as supplies last!!
Our bathrooms will be available and there is plenty of parking for you in our Scofield parking lot and along Church Street. Bring your family, park with us and have a fun night taking the kids Trick-or-Treating through the village.
The Only thing we ask is that everyone VOTES for The BEST Chili, The Most Original Chili, The Hottest Chili, and the Best Decorated Trunk. Those with the most votes from the community by category will be awarded a gift card!
A big shout-out of gratitude to our Village Police who will offer safe crossing of Scofield Street for everyone.
Setup is 5:30, and the event starts at 6PM to coincide and conclude with the Village Trick-or-Treating ending at 8PM.
Again, that’s our Chili Cookoff and Trunk-or-Treat Halloween night, Friday Oct 31st at the First Reformed Church in Walden from 5:30-8PM at the corner of Scofield and Church Streets Walden.
