Howard Hoffman
My dad had a radio on nearly 24/7 in our house. I grew up on Bob & Ray, Jean Shepherd, a megaton of Mantovani – and when I finally got my own radio, Dan Ingram, Cousin Brucie, Rosko, Jack Spector, and whoever else my transistor would pull in at night. I loved how radio took us places we’ve never been.
So I got into the business where I took listeners kicking and screaming to places they never asked for.
WALL was my first foray into “Top 40” radio fifty years ago when I was a zygote, and I never looked back. The journey got me into (and kicked out of) Seattle, Houston, Phoenix, Detroit, San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York. I kept wandering, and WALL kept pulling me back in.
So here I am again, Hudson Valley. I love y’all. Thanks for letting me learn that.
